The KCA Players are the resident drama group at Kinson Community Centre in Pelhams Park. When the Community Centre first came into being in 1952 we were the first group to get established and have been going strong ever since. We are a small friendly group producing 3 plays per year in March, June and November and we are looking for new members. But don't worry if the thought of learning lines and appearing on stage seems daunting, we also need set builders, painters, technicians, stage hands etc. Contact the Community Centre office now for details or Membership Secretary Annie Robertson 01202 767370 and join in the fun.

Comedian and national treasure Dave Thursby has died, and on the day of his funeral, friends and colleagues gather beside his coffin to pay their last respects. There's Harvey, who wrote Dave's material; Vi, Harvey's wife; Kevin, Dave's agent, and Kevin's wife Jane. Dave's widow Laura has arranged a funeral to remember, complete with a horse-drawn hearse and an attendant dog. An unfamiliar woman who has turned up in flamboyant mourning clothes turns out to be Kay, Dave's ex-wife from before he was famous, and a series of revelations about his dubious past and recent philandering end with Kevin throwing a drink into the coffin and all the guests asking themselves of they ever knew the "real" Dave.
Act II opens three weeks later for the disposal of Dave's ashes. The atmosphere is tense and Kevin is wearing a controversial tie, but as more truths are revealed, even from the crematorium Dave seems to be having the last laugh.
